.. and again ..
Good morning!
I'm an hour early for my shift after accompanying Phèdre through the Bronx, where at 5:30am, the sun actually doesn't shine. Surgery students do seem to arrive and leave in the dark. The main entrance wasn't even open yet so we had to walk in through the emergency department. Since we wore Bronx protective clothing (cheap-looking clothes and a sweater with a hood for myself) we did need our hospital IDs to get past at least one of the three security guards we passed. The other ones out at the gate and in the ambulance bay just looked at us curiously, but since we walked firmly just let us pass .. which is bad.
I did try out the piano in the Braker building a couple of minutes ago, it was so extremely badly out of tune that you could hardly even recognize any songs.
I had thought about going to the ED right now even before my shift but I may just get caught in something to do and would have to skip breakfast which starts at about 6:35am in the cafeteria - and missing a meal (especially a free one!) is simply out of the question.
Cheers!
